Dr. Juan Campos Krauer
Research and Extension, Cervidae Health Initiative
Dr. Campos has joined the Large Animal Clinical Sciences Department and the Department of Wildlife Ecology & Conservation. He received his DVM from Universidad Nacional de Asunción, Facultad de Ciencias Veterinarias. His research interests include identifying the most common pathogens affecting young and adult captive White-tailed deer in Florida, identifying the role of introduced and native wildlife host for infectious diseases, with special interest in HD, and development of fast field diagnostics procedures to identify EHD and BT to help shorten reaction time to take preventive measurements.
Dr. Diego E. Gomez
Large Animal Internal Medicine Department
Dr. Gomez has joined the Large Animal Clinical Sciences Department and the Large Animal Hospital Internal Medicine Department. He received his DVM from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. His research interests include microbiome assessment in mammals, infectious diseases, neonatal calf diarrhea, antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship, and acid-Base disorders in critically ill animals.
