The Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences is pleased to announce the addition of new faculty member Dr. Lawrence Kadic within the Large Animal Surgery Service.
Dr. Lawrence Kadic, DVM, MS, DACT – Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Lawrence Kadic, Clinical Assistant Professor in Large Animal Surgery, first graduated from the University of Ghent in Belgium and then worked as a rotating intern at the Dubai Equine Hospital in United Arab Emirates. His experience in the United States began with a surgery internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Kentucky, followed by a large animal clinical fellowship at Oregon State University. Afterwards, Dr. Kadic served as an Equine Surgery resident at Louisiana State University while earning a combined M.S. He earned his DACVS-LA from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. His interests involve all aspects of large animal surgery with a particular concentration in the innovation of orthopedic surgery in equine patients. He is intrigued by translational medicine/surgery and hopes to advance veterinary care and patient outcome by introducing techniques out of small animal and human medicine/surgery.
