About Brittany D Barbeau
Brittany Barbeau is the Biological Scientist for the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine Aquatic Animal Health Program. She has extensive marine animal necropsy experience, as well as considerable experience with initial response, triage, and transport of live cetaceans, manatees and sea turtles, and sea turtle rehabilitation. In addition to field response, Brittany has overseen sample collection and processing in both small animal medicine and marine mammal response, and is proficient in grant writing and management. She is currently pursuing her master’s in Public Health at the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions. Her research areas of interest include human interaction, population health, mental health support for veterinary professionals, and One Health.
